Product Overview:
Cut Masonry Nails are specialized high-strength fasteners designed for securing wood fixtures to cinder blocks, mortar joints, brick walls, and fresh concrete. Unlike smooth round nails, they feature a four-sided tapered shank and a blunt point. This unique geometry allows the nail to shear through the masonry grain, creating a permanent mechanical bond with superior pull-out resistance.
Manufacturing & Technology:
Hardening Process: Manufactured from high-carbon steel, these nails undergo a strictly controlled heat-treatment process (Quenching and Tempering) to achieve optimal hardness without brittleness.
Tapered Shank Design: The rectangular cross-section reduces splitting in the masonry substrate by compressing the material rather than wedging it apart.
Surface Protection: Available in Bright (untreated), Electro-Galvanized, or Mechanical Galvanized finishes to prevent oxidation in humid construction environments.
Technical Parameters:
Material: High-carbon steel (SAE 1060 or equivalent).
Hardness: Typically HRC 50–54.
Length Range: 1" to4" (25{mm} - 100{mm}).
Shank Type: Four-sided tapered / Fluted.
