Product Overview:
The Professional Pick (or Pick Mattock) is a high-leverage striking tool engineered for breaking up hard-packed soil, trenching, and prying rocks or roots. Featuring a dual-head design—typically a sharp pointed pick for fracturing stone and a flat wide mattock blade for digging—it is an indispensable tool for heavy-duty landscaping, construction, and railway maintenance.
Manufacturing & Technology:
Head Forging: The tool head is produced via Precision Die Forging from high-quality carbon steel. This process ensures a dense molecular structure, providing the impact resistance necessary for striking granite or compacted earth.
Heat Treatment: The working ends undergo Localized Induction Hardening. This ensures that the points and blades reach a hardness of HRC 45–52 for durability, while the eye (center) remains slightly more ductile to absorb shock without cracking.
Ergonomic Handle Integration: Available with high-grade American Ashwood for natural vibration dampening or Fiberglass Composite with a TPR over-mold. The handles are designed with a tapered fit to ensure the head tightens with use, preventing dangerous slippage.
Surface Finish: Finished with an anti-corrosive Electrostatic Powder Coating or industrial-grade black paint to resist abrasion and rust.
