Product Overview:
The Steel Y-Shaped Fence Post, commonly known as the Toothed Y-Post or Star Picket, is a high-strength structural support designed for heavy-duty fencing in agriculture, livestock containment, and perimeter security. Its distinctive three-pointed star cross-section provides exceptional multi-directional stiffness and resistance to bending. The specialized "toothed" edge is engineered for secure wire placement, preventing vertical slippage of fence lines without the constant need for additional clips.
Manufacturing & Technology:
Hot-Rolling Process: Manufactured from high-grade low-carbon or rail steel using a Precision Hot-Rolling process. This ensures uniform density and structural integrity throughout the length of the post.
Toothed Edge Design: Features CNC-machined or forged teeth along the central flange. These notches allow for rapid, consistent spacing of barbed wire, high-tensile wire, or mesh, significantly reducing labor time during installation.
Corrosion Engineering: Available in two high-performance finishes:
Bituminous Black Painting: A vacuum-baked anti-corrosive coating for standard environments.
Hot-Dipped Galvanized: Conforming to ASTM A123 / AS/NZS 4680, providing a heavy zinc coating (600g/m^2) for extreme durability in saline or acidic soils.
Pointed Anchor: The base is mechanically tapered into a sharp point to facilitate rapid ground penetration, even in rocky or compacted substrates, using manual or pneumatic drivers.
Technical Parameters:
Material: Q235 Carbon Steel or Re-rolled Rail Steel.
